How we started

Founded by Dean Forster, a successful engineer and boating enthusiast, Stressfree Marine was started as Dean discovered a commercial market for his custom built electric winches. At the time, there was no other anchor winch product that was fast, robust and reliable. Dean’s answer was to construct the patented freefall system, delivering exclusive tested and proven technology for optimum winch usage. To this day, no other winch builder has been able to duplicate the efficiency, strength and reliability of the Freefall anchor winch – a tool that Dean likes to tell everyone helps you to ‘move faster and catch more fish’.
